Welcome Pocono Family!

Smash & Dash Pocono is an exciting new family-friendly Rage Room event space. We offer multiple fun and safe ways to get your rage on while building jobs, promoting local businesses services and giving a safe space for our community’s youth to go. While our site is still under construction, we encourage you to read on and meet our co-owners and learn a little bit about the history of rage rooms and of course our services!

Meet the Co-Owners

Our founders met working together in Medicaid Long Term Support Services and became friends. As single mothers working full time and putting in far too much overtime, the high stress from work and life brought them to realize that there had to be a unique and fun way to vent. This led to a year of planning and brought about sMash and dAsh pocono!

Melinda Cruz (The “M” in Smash)

Hey Pocono Community! My name is Melinda! I’m a mother to a young teenager. I have 13 years of experience of employment within the local community working with parents, youth, community members and entities.

I want to be able to work for myself, get out of Corporate America, and be a boss lady while being able to provide a fun way to vent my frustrations with friends, family and co-workers. Cultural exchange enhances the understanding and friendship of people of all countries.

As a mother, I want to lead by example and show that it is okay to step out of my comfort zone while making footprints in the community.

Amanda Darcy (The A in Dash)

Hello all, I’m Amanda! I have 10 years- experience in youth behavioral health, 3 years – in Service Coordination for Medicaid Long Term Supports and 8 years -experience in management and am a single mother of a wonderful daughter.

While working full time and trying to manage my sanity in this crazy hectic world, I spoke to my friend/co-worker about my frustrations. We chatted multiple times about how we were managing our stress and wellbeing. We realized how unhappy we were of the options out there for stress relief. Through those conversations came SMASH AND DASH POCONO.

Bringing something new and fun to our community while working for ourselves was the goal. I never planned to work for myself or to own a business, but after major burnout from corporate America, I cannot think of a better venture.
